Blackpool 4 Nottingham Forest 4 Sun 15th Feb 2015 09:03
You could have put money on the fact that after 15 months of only scoring one goal at home that when Blackpool did eventually score more than one that we wouldn't go on and win the game. In the end, no one would have predicted we'd score four and still not win but the fact that the Seasiders were down to effectively 8 men for the last 15 minutes of the game and still came out with a point is credit to the players.
Watford 7 Blackpool 2 Sun 25th Jan 2015 10:17
Embarrassing, humiliating, inevitable and a sad reflection of where we are as a football club. Sometimes Blackpool have been getting away with results that have probably flattered us somewhat. Last week's shots on target by Wolves should have served as a warning about what might happen if a team had some players who could hit the back of the net and on Saturday we found that team in Watford. An awful afternoon for Lee Clark who could only find solace in the fact that three of the next four games are at home. Clearly he's forgotten the state of the Bloomfield Road pitch and the baying crowd!
Watford v Blackpool Preview Fri 23rd Jan 2015 18:16
So Blackpool's 14th attempt this season to get a league win and they've not chosen the easiest of locations. With Watford back in the top six and looking for another Play Off ticket, Lee Clark's side have a massive obstacle to overcome if they're to rid themselves of their unwanted away record and bridge the gap on those sides above them.
Blackpool 1 Millwall 0 Sat 10th Jan 2015 20:24
There is an irony to the fact that Ian Holloway helped keep us up last season with a rare home win for the Seasiders against Millwall (the only one under Barry Ferguson) and wouldn't it be strange if another win against Ollie's side was the catalyst that kept us up this time. The former Blackpool manager just keeps on giving at Bloomfield Road but will probably never want to see the place again.
Blackpool v Millwall Preview Sat 10th Jan 2015 10:36
There was a time that match day would fill Blackpool fans with hope, excitement and expectation, nowadays they approach a game with hate, repulsion and anger. When will things ever return to normality at Bloomfield Road? The vast majority would answer that question with 'when the Oyston's pack up and go' but the chances of that happening are minimal. In the meantime, Lee Clark will be starting to realise just how difficult the owners of the club are to work with. Having brought through Dom Telford and Mark Waddington, with neither having let him down, Oyston has now demoted them back to his Youth Side for not agreeing to a misely wage.
Aston Villa v Blackpool Preview Sat 03rd Jan 2015 13:42
The last time the Seasiders headed to Villa Park, it ended in one of the most talked about games of the Premier League season - for all the wrong reasons. Ian Holloway put out a Blackpool side that featured 10 changes from the team that drew 2-2 against Everton the previous weekend with six of those players, including skipper Jason Euell, making their first Premier League start. When fans look back to that season and wonder where we could have picked up those couple of points which would have ensured our top flight survival, this is one of those games that is regularly mentioned.
Rotherham v Blackpool Preview Fri 28th Nov 2014 08:28
So after Black Friday will be it Grey Saturday - another day towards what seems an inevitable relegation? Or has Lee Clark brought in enough players to keep us going until January and give us a fighting chance in the second half of the season. The return of Kevin Foley and the arrival of Stuart O'Keefe gives the manager a couple more options ahead of Saturday's trip to Rotherham.
Will elusive away win come at Rotherham? Wed 26th Nov 2014 19:45
Rotherham's most famous fans The Chuckle Brothers had the catchphrase 'To me, to you'. If they'd been watching Blackpool this season then they would have had to have changed that expression to 'To me, to you and then lose possession'. Whilst the Seasiders have struggled to string more than a couple of passes together in a game, they've also struggled to string a run of results together.
Blackpool 1 Bolton 1 Sat 22nd Nov 2014 19:29
A floral tribute to Ian Hesford was placed behind the goal in front of the Kop today and the former Blackpool keeper will have had a wry smile on his face watching Jacob Murphy's free kick fly in to the back of the net. Even the best shot stoppers would have had problems keeping that out. As we said Goodbye to a name from Blackpool's past, we finally saw signs of an emerging talent at Bloomfield Road. Take a bow Mr Murphy, that goal was worth the entrance fee alone.
Leeds United 3 Blackpool 1 Sat 08th Nov 2014 17:51
For just a few moments after the second goal went in against Fulham you did wonder if Lee Clark was the miracle worker we'd all been waiting for and if this nightmare season was finally going to end. Tony McMahon's sending off begun a downward spiral which continued at Elland Road on Saturday. The manager has now had three games in charge and can hopefully spot our weak areas and what few strengths we have. If not he'll need to have worked it out in two weeks time because we're not far off the final few throws of the dice.
